What stays local—and what optional features send.
The free builder does not send case details to us
This is the important one. CasePrompts generates prompt text only. The builder runs entirely in your browser — the party names, issues, and other details you type into it are assembled into a prompt on your own device and are never sent to or stored by this site. We have no upload feature and no copy of your record. What you do with the generated prompt afterward — and which AI tool you paste it into — is between you and that tool.
Email, only if you offer it
The personal information we store is what you deliberately submit through a form — your email address, and optionally a name, organization, or note. The Workbench design-partner form also asks for general workflow categories and permission to contact you; it expressly does not request matter data. We use the submission to respond to the request and evaluate workflow demand. We don't sell it, and we don't add you to anything you didn't ask for.
Optional, bounded product measurement
If analytics is enabled, the site sends reviewed page and product events to the configured Plausible account. Custom product-event names and properties come from a typed allowlist covering controlled selections, generation, copy, structural-check categories, and form outcomes. Those custom properties do not include prompt text, generated output, email addresses, names, free-text form contents, invitation codes, cookies, or IP-address fields. Provider-managed pageview fields, URL/referrer handling, network-address processing, retention, and deletion still follow the exact configured snippet, account, and service terms and have not been independently verified for this review. CasePrompts does not add session replay, heat maps, fingerprinting, or advertising trackers.
Private beta access cookie
If you enter a valid private-beta invitation code, the site sets one strictly functional, HTTP-only cookie so the AI tools can recognize an invited browser. The cookie contains a signed random session token — not the invitation code, your email, or prompt text — and expires automatically. Its deployment-configured lifetime must be between 1 and 90 days; the code default is 30 days, and the live setting has not been independently verified for this review. It is used only to control beta access and apply usage limits. Ending beta access below removes only that cookie from this browser.
This removes only the functional beta-access cookie. It does not clear local preferences or data held by an AI provider.
Your browser's local storage
To remember your preferences between visits, the site stores a few small values in your browser's local storage: your selected practice (cp_lens), builder tab (cp_mode), and light or dark theme (cp_theme). These stay on your device, and you can clear them any time by clearing site data in your browser. If optional allowlisted product analytics are enabled, selecting a practice or builder mode may separately record that allowlisted choice; the local-storage value itself is not transmitted.
Hosting & a note on AI tools
The site is served through the configured hosting provider, which processes standard request logs (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the service. The AI-backed features follow a local-first method: the builder and the prompt coach's structural checks keep prompt text on your device and make no model-provider request. If optional allowlisted product analytics are enabled, they may record non-sensitive event metadata. The deeper tools (a prompt grader or composer) call a cloud AI provider only when you choose to run them. CasePrompts does not intentionally persist that prompt text or the model response, but the AI provider's retention terms and the configured API account apply. Anthropic’s current commercial retention documentation describes standard deletion within 30 days with stated exceptions; zero-data-retention scope and model-specific requirements can differ. Those sources were checked July 26, 2026. Do not paste case documents, privileged facts, or confidential client information into these optional tools. Know which tier of tool your firm has approved before uploading case materials anywhere.
